Problem of heel pain has become very common in our day to day life. And many people are suffering from it.  So in today’s post we are going to talk about causes, available treatments and exercises to get rid of heel pain completely.

Problem of heel pain is extremely common among men and women both. But Women’s are more affected with it. And the important reason behind is our modern standing workestyle.

Alongside if we take a small break from work, then we get instant relief from pain. So we generally identify heel pain related to general fatigue. Furthermore think that the pain may be due to fatigue. But there may be couple of specific reasons for heel pain.

Specific Reasons Responsible For Heel Pain Are –

1. Fracture –

in the event that anyone had a fracture of heel bone, then in the process of recovery there may be presence of heel pain for a long time. It is called post fracture heel pain.

2. Heel Pad Injury –

Among other reasons there may be any muscular injury in the heel pad or in the sole of foot. It may also cause pain in heel. Aside from this if any injury has happened in the heel due to direct hit by a stone or any other object. It might likewise cause the problem of heel pain.

3. Calcaneal Spur –

Apart from this one another reason which is seen very commonly these days is the enlargement of heel bone. It is named as calcaneal spur formation.This is a very common reason which is seen these days very frequently.

4. Metabolic Reasons –

Apart from this there may be a General or metabolic explanaton for heel pain. It includes

A. vitamin D deficiency in the body which may cause heel pain. And it is a extremely common factor seen now a days.

B. Disturbed metabolism of thyroid hormone in the body.

If anybody is suffering from hypothyroidism, then the metabolism of calcium gets disturbed in the body. It may also cause the problem of heel pain.

4. Wrong Footwear –

This is among the most common reasons responsible for heel pain is wrong footwear. Most of the population use wrong footwear for their feet. And if footwear is reason behind the problem we generally don’t get our concentration towards that. And we keep wearing wrong footwear regularly.

So there are some normal reasons capable of increasing the heel pain. what’s more, now we will see what options can we use for the treatment of  heel pain.

Changes to do :

1.  You should change your hurting footwear immediately and use flat footwear. Apart from this if the issue still persists, then you can use delicate silicone heel cushions inside your shoes. Ladies can also glue it into their sleepers. These cushions provides much comfort from pain when you use it regularly.

2.  Wherever you work or stand at your workstation. You should not stand for prolonged time and do not walk shoeless. For working at your workstation you should place a delicate foot tangle under your feet for standing.

Exercises For Heel Pain Relief –

Apart from the above mentioned changes in your lifestyle and work station.
Here are the two very effective exercises for heel pain relief.

You can do these exercises at anyplace, at your home or your office effortlessly. In just two to three minutes only these exercises provides faster relief in heel pain.

Exercise No.1 –

What you need to do is simply take a tennis ball. And put it on the floor. Now put your heel on the ball and roll your foot forward and reverse on this ball with slight pressure as shown in this video. You are advised to do this rolling in left to right motion. Do this simply for just one to two minute, only twice daily.

Exercise No. 2 –

Take a piece of cloth or you can use your handkerchief also. Put it on the floor. Now grab this fabric by flexing your toes and lift the cloth for one feet height. Discharge this cloth by opening your toes and drop it on the floor.

Now again flex your toes and grip the cloth. Lift it over the ground up to 1 feet and again open your toes and drop the material on the floor. Do this exercise in 15 counts twice daily.

So these simple two exercises are very effective. Furthermore you can do these exercises anywhere very easily in home or in office. Also by doing these activities, you will see that within just 7 to 10 days you will get much relief in your heel pain.

Apart from this. You should also follow other safety measures and additives like as I mentioned about correcting your footwear and using soft heel cushions along with these exercises.
